Product Overview

AirSprite’s wireless infrastructure is based on IEEE 802.15.4 wireless mesh sensor networking. The infrastructure will be compliant with two key emerging wireless standards, WirelessHART and ISA100, and will eliminate the cost and risks associated with purchasing proprietary wireless systems and instrumentation from a single vendor.

AirSprite’s Products:

  • Wireless Gateway for HART – The core of AirSprite’s standards-compliant infrastructure, the Gateway manages wireless sensor networks and integration with critical plant and enterprise level applications. AirSprite’s Gateway is designed to deliver high levels of reliability, security, and ease-of-use.
  • Wireless Adapter for HART – A wireless module that attaches anywhere on a 4-20 mA loop to immediately retrofit existing HART devices for wireless transmission of intelligent data to a Wireless Gateway. AirSprite Adapters are rugged for outdoor and hazardous locations and will employ ultra-low power design techniques to allow extremely long battery life or loop-powered, battery-less operation.
  • Wireless Router for HART – A module for repeating transmissions within a wireless mesh sensor network. Routers work in concert with Adapters and Gateways to increase the range, reliability, and performance of wireless networks. As with Adapters, AirSprite Routers are rugged for outdoor use and will employ an ultra-low power design for long battery life.
