Job Summary: Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Ensures that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the product strategy and roadmap.
- Deliver requirement documents with prioritization and justification of features.
- Take a leadership role in the product design, development, and release process for assigned products.
- Coordinate beta testing of new products and features. Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements.
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
- Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
- Perform product demonstrations to customers and at trade shows, online seminars, and other events.
- Develop sales tools and collateral as well as brief and train sales force and partners.
- Support sales opportunities.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- 3-7 years of product management/marketing experience.
- Excellent problem solving skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the industrial controls and industrial wireless industries.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
